Two installments of Zero Escape are coming to Steam in Spring 2017. "Zero Escape: The Nonary Games" is bound for a Q1 2017 release as stated in its Steam profile. This bundle includes the first two games in the franchise.
"Zero Escape: The Nonary Games" is now listed on Steam and will include the first installment, "Zero Escape: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors (999)" and its second installment, "Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward". The game is a puzzle-solving survival adventure, which groups nine strangers together and they all need to escape the trappings of an evil mastermind called Zero.
In the game, nine people are kidnapped and brought to an undisclosed location, and these people can either work together or against each other to escape. "Zero Escape" was originally a classic Nintendo DS game, but the PC version will have better and high resolution graphics. The upcoming release also promises better English and Japanese voice overs, more mind-boggling puzzles and two difficulty settings for "Virtue's Last Reward".
"Zero Escape: The Nonary Games" is great for both novices and experts of the Zero Escape franchise. It's also a great deal offered by Steam, but there are no announcements yet regarding its price. Categorized as a visual novel, Zero Escape games are famous for its compelling storylines and 2D graphics (for 999).
The first two games in the franchise, 999 and Virtue's Last Reward, both earned a surprising massive following. They also gained favorable reviews by gaming sites like IGN and Kotaku. In 2013, Kotaku even published an article with the title, "Why Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward Should Be Game of the Year". "Here was a game, but it wasn't a game. It was an experience", wrote Jason Schreller in his Kotaku review of Virtue's Last Reward. Such impressive credits have been given to the franchise, and it's already expected for fans to grab Steam's bundled release next year.
