Samsung is partnering with Electronic Arts to offer a custom "Need For Speed: Most Wanted" game for free to the first 100,000 European Galaxy S4 buyers. In addition, the South Korean electronics giant will offer additional content in its Samsung Hub for its European customers. The game will also be available to play on the Galaxy Note 2.
The game is customized to feature in-game Samsung branding and will be available for download from Samsung Games.
"The introduction of Samsung's Galaxy S4 will bring outstanding mobile gaming experiences to its players. Our 'Need for Speed Most Wanted' offering at launch is one of several EA games specifically optimised for Samsung and will include exclusive content," Glenn Roland, vice president for new platforms and OEM at EA says in a release.
Samsung's flagship smartphone will go on sale across Europe on April 27, a day later than its original plan. "We are delighted to have exclusive branded Samsung content in a triple A game from one of the world's foremost video game publishers. We have also secured further partnerships that deliver on our promise to open up the world of possibilities to our customers," say Lee Epting, vice president of media solution center Europe for Samsung Electronics Europe.
Samsung will also offer Michelin's real-time traffic app 'Traffic' and eatery locator and reviewer 'Restaurant' apps at launch. In addition, Samsung Hub will offer exclusive children's apps 'Nighty Night' and 'Little Fox Music Box' by Goodbeans. The company has also reached an agreement with Random House Mondadori to bring 3,400 Spanish language books onto the device.
