Bethesda Teases New Project: 'Fallout 4' Ruled Out. Is It Project Zwei? [TEASER]

A day after announcing the studio is ending its DLC support for its hugely popular open-world RPG "Skyrim," Bethesda gave out the first major hint at what its next release might be. The short cryptic teaser video posted on the social media service Vine shows shots of barbed wire, record labels and a spinning 33 1/3 LP by The Moonlight Trio and George Shackley. The peculiar teaser also shows a vinyl release of Bach's "Air on the G String." However, Bethesda's Vine account does not give any description whatsoever.

The teaser is so vague that no one is sure what it it's about. However, as UK-based Metro notes, the most likely guess is "Project Zwei" from "Resident Evil" creator Shinji Mikami. "The teaser is certainly pretty creepy and Mikami has promised that the game, the first since his new company Tango Gameworks were bought by Bethesda, will breathe new life into the survival horror genre," the report states.

"Fallout 4" was the leading guess, especially considering Bach was featured in "Fallout 3." However, Pete Hines, Bethesda's vp of marketing and PR, shot down those rumors on Twitter. When asked if the teaser refers to "Fallout 4," Pete said, "You talking about the Vine thing? Guess again".

Some speculate that the teaser could be a clip about the mysterious "Project Tungsten," a "Wolfenstein" game, by ZeniMax Sweden. The "Wolfenstein" game is believed to be the first project from the studio founded by veterans of developer Starbreeze Studios, maker of "The Darkness."
