Top 10 Selling Games In The UK 2016: 'Battlefield 1' Maintains Number One Position; 'Skyrim', 'FIFA 17' & 'Titanfall 2' Also On List

Top 10 Selling Games In The UK 2016: 'Battlefield 1' Maintains Number One Position; 'Skyrim', 'FIFA 17' & 'Titanfall 2' Also On List

Despite all the hype, "Titanfall 2" seems to lag behind "Battlefield 1" in terms of grabbing the attention of gamers. UK sales chart has revealed that the Battlefield version has become the top selling games across the nation.

The new ranking has shown that "Battlefield 1" is a game that has more players than any other game in the UK followed by "The Elder Scrolls V: SkyrimSpecial Edition" and "FIFA 2017" as the second and third bestseller games in the nation respectively. The numero uno maintains to be so even in its second week of release, which again is a great achievement in the gaming industry where competition is huge these days.

It has come as complete surprise as EA and DICE's "Battlefield 1" was expected to perform the same way as observed in case of "Battlefield 3" and "Battlefield 4." In case of the former two versions of the game, there was an adverse decline in the sales ranking in the second week of their releases, as mentioned by Gamespot.

The UK sales chart reported that "Battlefield 1" had been used by more than 110,000 PC users as well as 92,000 Xbox One users and 225,000 PS4 users. On the other hand, "Titanfall 2" had 11,000 PC users, 36,000 Xbox One users and 26,000 PS4 users, The Express UK stated. In fact, the latter could not even make it to the top 3 positions. It fell to the fourth position as far as its sales figures are concerned and that too in the first week of its release.

On the fifth position is "Farming Simulator 17." Apart from the top five already mentioned above, including the topper "Battlefield 1", the others on the top 10 Chart Track are as follows:

6. Mafia 3

7. Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2

8. Gears of War 4

9. Grand Theft Auto V

10. Forza Horizon 3
