Capcom informed the internet on Monday that "Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate" was no longer confined to the horrors of television-required play. Downloading the new patch onto your Wii U allows GamePad-only play.
"It's finally here," Capcom writes. "The long-awaited Software Update for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is now live! With this update, you will now be able to play MH3U using just your Wii U GamePad; and the North American and European servers will be merged into one big server - allowing the community stay united and grow even stronger!"
Obviously players who choose GamePad-only play will need to use a more clustered HUD, as the GamePad screen offers a customized layout when supplementing the TV. The game still does not support local cooperative play sans 3DS.
