"Shrek 5" will be hitting the big screen again very soon. Eddie Murphy, the voice behind Donkey character, revealed that the script was done and production is underway and the movie may be released sometime in 2019 or 2020.
The "Shrek 5" is a sequel to the popular movie "Shrek" under DreamWorks Animation. It is one of the most loved animated film and much awaited by fans. The actor Murphy also revealed in an interview that he will still be part of the upcoming movie still.
The "Shrek 5" actor also revealed that the script for the upcoming movie is ready and pre-production is underway and could be hitting the cinemas on late 2019. Murphy said that as long as the movie is still loved by everyone, there will be more sequels to come. However, there has been no confirmation whether Mike Myers, the voice of Shrek, or Cameron Diaz as the voice of Fiona will come back for the upcoming movie.
There have been speculations that "Shrek 5" will bring in some new more characters. Everybody might anticipate who the character (s) will be and would like to make a mark in the series like Donkey or Puss In Boots.
Meanwhile, the Mansfield Playhouse will show Shrek the Musical Jr. and is going to be performed by its award-winning youth theatre programs. The storyline of the Shrek the Musical Jr. is also based on DreamWorks Animation Picture and the book authored by William Steig. The local production is going to be directed by Doug Wertz and music by Craig Green, Richland Source reported.
"Shrek 5" is going to hit the big screen on 2019 or 2020, while we wait for it to come, Shrek the Musical Jr. were presented in Mansfield Playhouse on October 21, 22, 28 and 29 at 7 p.m and on 30 at 2:3 pm.
