Samsung Galaxy J7 Release Date, News & Update : Camera, Specs Winner Against Sony Xperia XZ?

The Samsung Galaxy J7 is rumored to match the Sony Xperia XZ especially in terms of the camera specs. The Galaxy J7 also includes a "Beauty" feature to erase unwanted facial features right out of the box. The Galaxy J7 also received new security patches since September.

A performance test for the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime revealed no slowing down or freezing of the handset despite opening a number of apps. Furthermore, the Galaxy J7 Prime sports a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP shooter. In contrast, the Sony Xperia XZ boasts a 23MP rear shooter and a 13MP front camera. However, the shots taken on the Galaxy J7 Prime were reportedly able to hold a candle in terms of photo quality.

Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime boasts a "Beauty" feature that can smoothen out wrinkles or blemishes without the photo looking like it was photoshopped. This feature comes with the phone straight out of the box and no longer needs to be downloaded. Photos taken in dark places or in angles with less light on the Galaxy J7 Prime are said to have only a slight difference in photo quality with the Sony Xperia XZ, according to report.

Meanwhile, both the Samsung Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 smartphones are slated to get new updates. The giant tech company reportedly aims to improve the security of the users of the new 2016 flagship phones. The Android security patches have already started rolling out in Europe. The patch was revealed in October for the Galaxy J5 and in September for the Galaxy J7.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 security patch is said to be downloaded manually as well. It should be noted that OTA roll-outs take some time to hit the device. Hence, the update could be checked in the Settings menu of the device, GSM Arena reported. Watch video about Samsung Galaxy J7 (6) 2016 Full Review
