Google's upcoming device, believed to be called the Google Nexus 7 (2016), is poised to launch before Christmas 2016. The Google Nexus 7 is preparing to beat the Apple iPad Pro with better specifications and faster performance.
Asus launched the first Google Nexus 7 in 2012. In 2013, the tablet featured the same display size, with enhanced specs and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Users were expecting some details about the new Google Nexus 7 at the company's recently concluded event on Oct. 4, 2016, but no updates were given.
PC Advisor stated Huawei later confirmed that it is working with HTC on the potential Google Nexus 7. There are also rumors that the new tablet will be known as Pixel, instead of Google Nexus 7. Google has allegedly terminated the Nexus brands, although some speculate that Google Nexus 7 (2016) will be the last product before the Pixel rebranding.
Huawei stated that they do not comment on future products, as a matter of policy. They are committed to creating the most compelling and innovative devices in the world, featuring outstanding user experience and exceptional performance.
Huawei added that they are proud to have worked with Google on the Nexus 6P, and will have more collaborations in the future -- could this include the Google Nexus 7 (2016) as well? Android Police reported that the upcoming Google Nexus 7 will feature the latest Andromeda OS, which will make it the best tablet of 2016, surpassing the Apple iPad Pro.
The new Google Nexus 7 is said to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, an Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. The Google Nexus 7 is also said to include a 5100mAh battery pack and a USB-C port. The exact launch date of the Google Nexus 7 has not yet been announced, although it is believed to become available just before the holiday season.
The price has not yet been revealed, although it may be close to the current price of the Apple iPad Pro. The original Google Nexus 7 was a huge success, and the next version is expected to do even better if it proves to have surpassed its Apple counterpart. More updates and details are expected soon.
