Sony announced on Thursday that it will launch its television streaming service, Vue, to Windows and Mac very soon. The announcement came following the launch of the serve for Androids on October 27.
According to the latest updates given by Gamespot, PCs and Mac will soon have a "mini-player" feature that will allow users to keep Vue in the corner of the screen and watch videos while using other applications simultaneously. With the TV streaming service, customers will get a chance to sign up for PC and Mac version using their browser.
As a result of this, users can watch their chosen videos to whatever devices they own, including Android TV, smartphones, tablets, etc. The electronic brand also confirmed that it will add some special features on the PC and Mac to make sure the Veu service works well on the devices. The launch date of Veu has not yet been revealed.
As far as PlayStation Vue is concerned, it is similar to the services that offer a user a chance to watch videos of whatever event they miss from satellite/cable TV. In short, it is an internet version of television entertainment. The Sony's TV streaming service makes sure to offer entertainment seekers both on-demand programs as well as live cable TV shows along with movies and sports network. However, prices differ on the basis of the packages chosen, Techcrunch noted.
Those who do not possess either PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 3, they can sign up for Vue online. The ones who are not familiar with the service can try the streaming services of seven-day. To do so, the users can download the app on an Android TV having OS 4.4 or onwards.
Cloud-based DVR feature of Vue lets users stream around hundreds of shows at a time. On the other hand, with the streaming app, users can connect up to five devices for streaming simultaneously without facing speed error.
