‘Final Fantasy XV’ Release Date, Latest News & Update: Multiplayer Mode Add-On, Nintendo Switch Version Arriving Soon?

With most games adding more features to make their titles tempting, “Final Fantasy XV” may have to do more than release the game by the end of November. An online multiplayer mode has been suggested though it all depends on what Square Enix has planned after the game’s official rollout on Nov. 29.

As covered in a previous post, “Final Fantasy XV” is already delayed as it is. Optimization issues were singled out as the cause. In short, the buggy nature poses serious problems to gamers, something which could radiate to a planned online multiplayer feature which will be part of the $25 Season Pass. This will include 6 DLC packs.

Characters like “Gladio”, “Ignis” and “Prompto” will become playable for the multiplayer DLC for “Final Fantasy XV”, a new twist from the traditional single player mode for the fantasy game. An official release date for the DLC has not yet been mentioned though there is a chance that it could b a Day One patch, Geek.com reported.

“Final Fantasy XV” versions for the PS4 and Xbox One will roll out first with a PC version holding no official word for now. Speaking of “Final Fantasy XV” game versions, director Hajime Tabata seems to be interested in developing one for the Nintendo Switch, as mentioned in an interview with Nintendo Everything.

“I’m very interested in this machine! As a player, but also as a developer. The Nintendo Switch that you can transform into a controller, that you can put into a dock, that you can move around with, on which you can replace elements. It’s been a while that I’ve told myself that I would like to make games on a Nintendo machine, so if the Nintendo Switch could be that opportunity, I’ll be delighted!”

Tabata has been known to find ways to port games to other game consoles so seeing a potential “Final Fantasy XV” on the Nintendo Switch looks very possible, Forbes reported. Stay tuned for more updates on "Final Fantasy XV"!
