Blackberry, the Canadian multinational telecommunication company, has recently announced a new smartphone with Android operating system dubbed as Blackberry DTEK60. According to reports, the new device is going to arrive with impressive specs and features such as the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and an app that would allow users Android Pay access.
According to Android Authority, the new Blackberry DTEK60 is meant to dominate the corporate smartphone market as the device is designed to have high-class security feature. "Our manufacturing process makes use of a unique technique known as the Hardware Root of Trust, which adds security keys to the chipsets inside the DTEK60 to prevent the device from being spoofed or counterfeited," Blackberry stated as reported by Android Authority. "Our Secure Bootloader uses multi-stage verification to ensure that the Android OS hasn't been tampered with, in order to protect business data against hackers rooting the device."
The Blackberry DTEK60 definitely has a much larger screen size than its predecessor, the DTEK50. The device carries a 5.5-inch screen with a QHD display, and has a different overall exterior design with a dual-glass panel and a metal frame compared to the utilitarian finish of the previous iteration.
Under the hood, the Blackberry DTEK60 will run on a Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm paired with 4 GB of RAM. The smartphone also come with a 32 GB onboard storage capacity, which is expandable using a microSD card up to 2 TB.
Other features of the new Blackberry DTEK60 include a 21 MP primary camera, an 8 MP selfie snapper, and a USB Type-C port. The handset will be powered by a 3000 mAh battery, which also has a quick charging feature.
