The patches will technically continue for “Fallout 4" despite the supposed final release of its game DLC. Patches were apparently not categorized under the updates meaning there may be more to come.
In fact, one has already been rolled out for “Fallout 4” in 1.7.19 that covers the Bethesda.net mods. No official notes came with the said patch which may turn out to be covering the moderation tools for mod authors.
The “Fallout 4” DLC was not free from issues and apparently the patch tried to address it. As mentioned by Neurogadget, one example was the Nuka-World which had a mystery bug tied up to the Ground Tour mission.
For those unaware, the "Fallout 4" problem was tied up to the inability of players to finish the mission when “Gage” was their partner during quests. Of course the patch for “Fallout 4” wasn’t limited to that “Gage” bug alone. There were two other DLCs that got fixed, ones covering the “Contraptions Workshop” and “Far Harbor”.
Puzzling, however, was that the said fixes for "Fallout 4" were aimed at mods for the PS4. As most know, Sony and Bethesda had their qualms on the matter and the affected mods are not featured on the PlayStation 4.
As mentioned in a previous post, "Fallout 4" mods on the PS4 is present though at a limited capacity. Only the assets defined for the game on the console will be available meaning that gamers can only expect ‘some’ mods.
While all that may be big of a disappointment, users playing “Fallout 4” on the PC and Xbox can look forward to the said patches which offer pretty important fixes. On whether Bethesda would be offering more than that remains to be seen.
Other than bug fixes here is hoping that Bethesda thinks of more features that gamers can find handy. It may not be much but at least they are updates made to improve gameplay on “Fallout 4”.
