MacBook Pro has finally arrived after four years since the last major overhaul has been issued by Apple to the popular line of high-end laptop. Tim Cook led the launch during the company's intimate event held in Cupertino, showing off the refreshed Pro version that features the secondary display between the screen and the keyboard.
This new MacBook Pro feature is reported to have been named as Touch Bar, the mini Retina display that no longer uses the regular row of function keys. According to reports, the space is a tiny multi touch screen that uses taps and gestures to make a broad range of tasks, including the display of some typing suggestions to showing tools for different apps.
MacBook Pro also comes with a Siri built-in, which is expected from a piece of Apple hardware. A button is said to be available by default to go directly to the friendly AI assistant. However, unlike the headphone jack of the iPhone, the function row is not entirely dead, as a function button reportedly brings the keys back when it is held down.
To date, the MacBook Pro is the lightest and thinnest model of the Pro, given its 13-inch measure, with 14.9mm thickness, which makes it 13 percent thinner compared to the Air model. The 15-inch model of the notebook weighs 4 lbs while the smallest with 13-inch size comes in at 3 lbs.
MacBook Pro is available at $1,499 for the 13-inch version, $2,399 for the 15-inch and $1,799 for the model with Touch Bar. The entry-level has started shipping, while others are expected to come in a few weeks, Tech Crunch reported.
Meanwhile, MacBook Pro's Touch Bar features have reportedly been used by third-party developers. Design manager for Adobe Photoshop Bradee Evans has even presented the next Photoshop update, in which layers, palettes and versions of the similar image can be manipulated using the Touch Bar. The presentation appeared good that Skype and Office are reported to soon take advantage of the new features, which experts seen as an encouraging sign.
MacBook Pro's Touch Bar seems very powerful that a lot have been convinced that laptop users may choose this new Apple device over another Mac, Tech Crunch reported. Watch video about Apple Special Event October 2016 (HD) | Macbook Pro 2016
