"Rise of the Tomb Raider" latest update for PS4 has reportedly fixed an issue regarding input lag. The 1.04 update is seen as a dramatic tweak, bringing great improvements on the game's combat as it allows players to aim more accurately the chosen precision weaponry. Although several reports of complaints of new crashes following the release of the update, Digital Foundry believes that the said issues were linked to network problems, and not to the patch.
In addition, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" 1.04 update has also brought enhancements to the 4K image quality, as well as the frame rate for the PS4 Pro, including several bug fixes. According to reports, there are also other games being updated to support the new console, which was released on Nov. 10. Both the PC and PS4 versions of the game were developed by Nixxes Software. On the other hand, the Crystal Dynamics were the brains behind the Xbox 360 and Xbox One version.
"Rise of the Tomb Raider" Xbox One version is reported to still come with a few input lag issues, while no similar issues were reported against the PC and Xbox 360 versions, as confirmed by Digital Foundry, GameSpot reported.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that disconnecting the PS4 from the network seems to fix the crashing issue following the installation of the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" 1.04 update. However, it is still unclear if the crashing problem is due to the patch installation or if it is because of the current PSN problems. Nevertheless, some are recommending to wait to download the update.
"Rise of the Tomb Raider" update 1.04 come with some other features including reduced input latency and different bug fixes as well as improved stability. Meantime, day one updates for "Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration" on the PS4 have received PlayStation VR support, including other improvements, PlayStation Lifestyle reported.
