Samsung users are already expecting the coming of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 after the tech company promised that it would upgrade buyers of the faulty Note 7 with the upcoming installment. This is already a clear confirmation that the Note 8 will be available in the coming months.
Only in South Korea?
The deal has reportedly been exclusively available for South Korea for now but Samsung fans are hoping that it would be launched in the United States and other countries. Customers who will participate on this exchange program will only give 50 percent of the cost of a Galaxy S7 edge or a Galaxy S7 when surrendering their Note 7.
These people will then be eligible to exchange their acquired units for an S8 or a Galaxy Note 8 when they become available next year. Samsung's move is believed to be a way to encourage people to surrender their units and follow the massive recall of device. Reports indicate that there are still a lot of Note 7 owners keeping their devices despite the risk of exploding units.
Mobile World Congress
Patrick Moorhead, president of analyst firm Moor Insights & Strategy believes that the Note brand will continue with Samsung despite the battery issue of the Note 7 that greatly affected the company. "I think come January or March - January at CES or March at Mobile World Congress - they'll come out with a Note 8," he added.
Features and Specs
He also explained that the phablet may have a new color and coating when it is released. The Note 8 is also expected to be a high-end phone not only for designed for individuals but also for businesses.
When it becomes available early 2017, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is thought to come with a new battery that will redeem the name of the brand to its customers. A newly designed S-Pen which has improved functionalities is also expected with the device.
