Apple just finished presenting its "Hello Again" Mac event earlier today. Through the event, the American tech giant introduced its newest MacBook Pro which is being marketed as newly redesigned with "Touch Bar" panel that opens apps capability through gestures and multi-touch functionality.
The Mac event, dubbed as "Hello Again," was Apple's second live media presentation this year. It took place at the company's headquarters in Cupertino, California on Oct. 27, when an array of new machines and updates were unveiled to the public. In any case, the event revealed many things and here is a rundown of what was announced during the occasion:
Apple TV
Firstly, the tech firm briefly discussed Apple's new app called TV. It is a new application designed to make it easier to discover which TV shows and movies to watch. The best thing is that, it is capable of running live TV broadcast.
"We want Apple TV to be the one place to access all of your television," Mashable quoted Apple chief executive Tim Cook as saying. "It will completely change how you watch TV with your Apple TV, as well as with your iPhone and iPad."
MacBook Pro
The main topic of the presentation was the redesigned laptop machines, specifically the MacBook Pros. Apple brought out three laptop models and two of the new units will feature a touch screen. All three models are called MacBook Pro but experts say that the one without the touch screen appears to be a replacement for MacBook Air series.
The new line of Apple MacBook Pro is thinner and lighter compared to its predecessors. Plus, in response to previous complaints about the machines not having enough ports, the new units now have four USB-C ports and a headphone jack to top it all.
Meanwhile, Apple's ‘Touch Bar' technology spread out advanced features such as fingerprint recognition and Touch ID. Notably, Apple did not mention updates on its tablet flagship iPad Pro which was launch last year.
