The former "Degrassi" actor-turned rapper, Drake introduced the singer-songwriter Taylor Swift to his mom Sandi Graham. The "Blank Space" singer and the rapper's mom were acquainted Sunday evening during his 30th birthday party in WeHo.
Since Taylor Swift isn't a regular goer at his parties. Drake made sure that the pop star and his mom, along with some of the rapper's friends, would get to know each other.
A report from TMZ claims Taylor Swift was not introduced as his romantic partner but just a friend. Both musicians have been friends for years and even hangout together at the 2013 VMAs. The romance rumors began when Drake left a supportive message on her Instagam post during her performance in Austin Texas last Saturday.
Taylor Swift performed an acoustic version of "This Is What You Came For," a song sung by Drake's ex-girlfriend Rihanna, "This Is What You Came For". The song was originally an upbeat song that was co-written and produced by Swift's ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris.
It seems as though Taylor Swift showed up at the "Controlla" singer's birthday party to return a favor after Drake left a checkmark emoji on her photo as a sign of encouragement. Who knew they were good friends -- or would be a viable couple -- after all?
Taylor Swift was joined by her brother Austin Swift and her squad, Karlie Kloss, the Hiam sisters, Este, and Danielle in partying at Drake's birthday party. There may not be a romance between Taylor Swift and Drake but a report by Extra TV says the two artists might collaborate and make some music together.
The report added that Drake seeing Taylor Swift in person is fun and he has a "small little thing with her". The rapper even bought a Taylor Swift t-shirt at the 52nd Grammy awards.
Meanwhile, it was also reported during the party that Katy Perry and John Mayer were also at Drake's party. Sources from Us Weekly confirmed that both Taylor Swift and Katy Perry didn't mind each other during Drake's party.
However, Katy Perry was able to talk with her ex-boyfriend -- who is also Taylor Swift's ex-boyfriend -- John Mayer. Apparently John Mayer and Katy Perry are in good terms and it seems as though Katy Perry and Taylor Swift still have "Bad Blood" with each other.
