An "anonymous tipster" is claiming DICE is working on bringing the fan favorite "Battelfield 2" map Road to Jalalabad, to "Battelfield 4," reports BF4Central.
The map was a free download for the game in 2007, and quickly found popularity with fans for offering a bit of everything for any type of player. Lots of desert to get lost, or hide in, some elements of close up, urban combat, it was all there.
As far as credibility goes, this rumor comes from the same source that supplied info about game's new Frostbite 3 engine, so it seems legitimate.
The map's rumored to be a strict re-make, but I wouldn't put it past DICE to make a few notable additions here and there. At least, this has been the case with the company revisiting old content before.
Despite being officially announced, we haven't heard much in the way of "Battlefield 4's" multiplayer, but we'll let you know if DICE confirms this one.
