The LG G6 is rumored to roll out sans the modular accessories that were seen in the LG G5 device. While the modular accessories trend is still fairly new, apparently it is being discontinued. Moreover, the device is also expected to have a more durable camera glass with the recent LG V20 getting complaints over a fragile glass.
The LG G5 is notably a huge leap from the G4. Hence, a whole lot more is expected to roll out with the upcoming LG G6. Latest reports claim that the LG G6 may sport a more traditional design, Android Authority reported. The report also claims that the phone will not include modularity.
It should be noted that the modular accessories on the LG G5 are said to be unique. Apparently, not enough tech enthusiasts have supported the idea. Hence, LG is reverting back to the traditional design henceforth.
This is said to be a wise move for LG. It should be noted that the sales of modular accessories for the company have not exactly been exemplary. More LG smartphone users reportedly still prefer the tradition smartphones that do not really on fancy accessories which may be unnecessary. On the other hand, rumor has it that the company may still bring back future phones but not with the LG G6.
Meanwhile, prior to the launch of the LG G6, the LG V20 has already arrived. Unfortunately, V20 owners allegedly reported minor issues like the fragile camera glass. A number of Reddit users claims that the glass on the V20's camera breaks or shatters easily. Moreover, a Reddit user reported that the glass on the camera shattered just by having the flashlight LED on too long. Another user even reported a broken camera straight out of the box, according to report.
The LG G6 is expected to come out with a more durable camera glass than the V20. In the meantime, the V20 handset includes a protective film that is best left on the device. The device comes with a film installed on the rear portion of the camera but does not affect the quality of the pictures.
