Sony has announced the next Playstation but is yet to confirm the console specifications apart from the device's controller and a stereo camera with motion capture capabilities. However, things might become clearer at an upcoming event scheduled to happen sometime in April or May.
Sources close to Sony's marketing strategy have revealed to PCMag that Sony is set to make a big announcement sometime soon where the company will announce more details about the next-gen console, with its design being just a part of the big reveal.
This new revelation actually makes a lot of sense as the last real big gaming event was the Game Developers Conference in March. With E3 coming in June it will not be surprising if Sony schedules an event beforehand to give out more details about the PlayStation 4.
This will also give the company some time to ready launch and third party titles, which are more likely to be shown off at E3.
Factors like the DualShock 4′s functionality, Cloud Services and Sony's motion controller plans apart from the SixAxis and Move, are most likely to come to the forefront.
