"Skyrim: Special Edition" mod storage on the PlayStation 4 console is reportedly limited to 1GB. This is said to be caused by the lack of external assets that are deemed to be important to the game. Moreover, the game may roll out a patch with PS4 Pro support.
It should be noted that Bethesda previously announced that they have not been able to come into terms with Bethesda on how the mods would work on the gaming console. Eventually, an agreement was later made as Sony reportedly agreed to allow mod support for the remastered "Skyrim: Special Edition" on the console. However, important external assets have been opted out.
Furthermore, the "Skyrim: Special Edition" mods on the Xbox One will have 5GB storage for the mods. However, the PlayStation 4 version will only have 1GB. While opting to exclude external assets saved up on space, it is also said to be limiting, Bleedingcool reported. In addition, Sony also excluded EA Access and Early Access on their platform. This lead to speculations that Sony is being careful with what they are allowing into their system. However, critics have noted that the best version of the Skyrim, complete with the vital external assets can be found on the Xbox One platform.
Meanwhile, "Titanfall 2" is set to roll out with PS4 Pro support next month, Lazygamer reported. The developers reportedly used Checkerboard rendering to create visuals analogous to native 4K without requiring too much raw computational power. However, it remains uncertain whether "Skyrim: Special Edition" will roll out on the upcoming Sony device as well.
"Skyrim: Special Edition" and other games are said to require a patch that will be able to support the upcoming device. On the other hand "Titanfall 2" will be having PS4 Pro support on the disc itself with no post-release patch necessary. The game is slated to have increased resolution, high-resolution shadows and more stable framerate at 60fps. Watch PS4 Skyrim Special Edition Mods Update here:
