Bandia Namco is taking its Tekken street-fighting franchise to places it has never gone before: card fighting and free to play. Available right now on iOS, Android and PC browsers, players are meant to collect their favorite fighters via physical cards and scan them into the game with the accompanying QR codes.
The actual gameplay, pitting two fighters against each other in a similar visual style to the core "Tekken" games, is a turn-based rock-paper-scissors kind of deal. Fight players online and across platforms in live play, just don't expect to go comboing anybody up like the good old days.
There are 191 cards out right now. Of course, an in-game store is up front as well. It is free-to-play after all.
