Fans have been expecting the iPad Mini 5 to be released together with Apple's new smartphones, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, but the tablet was no show at that event. Now, fans are hoping that the iPad Mini 5 will be launched this October 27 event.
A lot of fans are very excited to see the tablet's new design and features. According to a report from MacWorld, the iPad Mini 5 will be getting a major overhaul. The device is expected to be thinner and lighter compared to its predecessors.
Compared to the 6.1mm iPad Mini 4, the iPad Mini 5 can go as thin as 5mm. The device will also be infused with an aluminium body commonly called as "Bendgate," this feature is also used in iPhone 6. The material is also lighter and stiffer compared to low-grade aluminum that are commonly used on other products. According to NeuroGadget, it might have an A9 processor but it will have a weaker battery compared to its previous model that has a 5124 mAh battery.
The iPad Mini 5 might come with three different models, the 32GB, 64GB and the 128GB storage. The 32GB storage will likely cost $450, the 64GB will cost $500 and the 128GB will cost for around $600. The device will also be using the latest Apple's iOS 10 that has been released with the new iPhone 7
As previously reported, the reliable Apple analyst predicted that the company might be stopping the production of their tablets after iPad Mini 5. The main cause is the iPhone models decreased the demands for the tablets. A lot of consumers nowadays prefer to use tablet like phones instead of tablets.
