The famous lawyers of Steven Avery, Dean Strang and Jerry Buting, are both set to be back in "Making a Murderer" Season 2! The new chapter of the convict's controversial case is now in the works as directors Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos revealed that the legal counsels will appear in new episodes.
According to RTE, Dean Strang and Jerry Buting confirmed their appearance in "Making a Murderer" Season 2 in their speaking tour, "A Conversation on Justice." In fact, the lawyers already filmed some episodes where they gave their interviews about the case.
"We have already been interviewed by them, they did approach us, but whether we end up being in it, that's their decision," Jerry Buting said. He, too, revealed that their appearance will have a connection to the new developments "Making a Murderer" Season 2 has. "If there are new court appearances that might become such a focus that whatever they talked to us about is not necessary" he added.
Moreover, Steven Avery's high-powered defense attorney Kathleen Zellner seemed not impressed with Dean Strang and Jerry Buting. In fact, earlier this year, she wished to overturn the prisoner's conviction because of the legal representative's ineffectiveness to prove that Teresa Halbach already left his property before she got killed. Will she react now that the two lawyers are back in "Making a Murderer" Season 2?
Meanwhile, in an interview with Newsweek, Dean Strang and Jerry Buting were asked if Steven Avery could stand a chance to be acquitted from his case with the help of the internet and social media. Buting revealed that the offender now has a much better chance because "people are more receptive" to this kind of case nowadays. Now that he has a chance, will Avery be found not guilty in "Making a Murderer" Season 2? Netflix has yet to announce the release of "Making a Murderer" Season 2.
