As fans are still waiting for the coming of "The X-Files" Season 11, they will be treated first with "The X-Files Origins." It is the spinoff novel version derived from the world-renowned television series that tells the story of Dana Scully and Fox Mulder in their teenage years.
"The X-Files Origins" is a two YA novel series that will reveal the reason why Fox Mulder becomes a devout believer and Dana Scully a skeptic, Entertainment Weekly reported. The book version of the science fiction TV series is penned by Kami Garcia and Jonathan Maberry.
"The X-Files Origins" is composed of two novel series. The first one is "Agent of Chaos," which is set in Dana Scully's residence, while the second one is "Devil's Advocate" that tells Fox Mulder's narrative. Each book is set in the spring of 1970, the year when serial murders, occults and government conspiracies are making noise in the news.
Additionally, fans will know in "The X-Files Origins" how Dana Scully and Fox Mulder become the famous FBI agents in the horror drama. They will now see the life-changing experiences of the two detectives that made them reach the success they have in the story.
Meanwhile, in a review made by Flickering Myth about "The X-Files Origins," it revealed that Jody Houser and Matthew Dow Smith made Dana Scully and Fox Mulder's growth from young detectives to the successful FBIs a must see. In fact, it will give the series' avid fans a very satisfying way to show the two detectives' youthful character development like never before.
"The X-Files Origins," too, will give a "great finale on the horizon" about the fiction story. It is bright and colorful but doesn't look like a child novel.
"When I watched the pilot episode back in 1993, I became immediately obsessed with 'The X-Files,'" Erin Stein, Publisher of Imprint, said in a statement. "As a die-hard fan of the show, the opportunity to work with incredible authors on original stories about these characters is a dream come true for me." "The X-Files Origins" will be released on Jan. 3, 2017.
