CD Projekt Red is developing the game "Cyberpunk 2077" and possibly trying to compass its own game "The Witcher 3." But, there has been no confirmation yet as to when the new game will be released.
In Cyberpunk official website, "Cyberpunk 2077" is the collaboration of CD Projekt Red and Mike Pondsmith, the creator of the pen-and-paper RPG Cyberpunk 2020. The upcoming RPG "Cyberpunk 2077" is about a dystopian metropolis set in the future with technological advancement that later on will become their dilemma in humanity.
CD Projekt Red said that the game is open-world where players will be allowed to roam around and visit places, which includes combat zones, the Afterlife joint, and the Forlorn Hope. But aside from this, there is still no clear information about what type of gameplay "Cyberpunk 2077" has to offer.
In addition, rumors have been circulating since last year that the newest game of CD Projekt Red's "Cyberpunk 2077" will be released this year. However, this was turned down by the developer and said that they will just focus on the game "The Witcher 3."
In the Polish website PC World, translated by MyGaming, it revealed that in the developer's grant request, it has outlines and concepts that can give hints in the development of "Cyberpunk 2077." Also, it outlined the key areas of the technology needed and game design, since CD Projekt Red noted that the technology does not yet exist.
According to the translated grant request, CD Projekt Red is a comprehensive technology for city creation with a real-time "live" play. Also, it seeks for a tool where the complex animation of face and body for "Cyberpunk 2077" can be processed. The developer added they want to give the players a unique cinematic feel for the game that no other RPG title has ever accomplished. Lastly, they seek for the generic support cross-platform multiplayer video games for different game consoles.
With the recent development of "Cyberpunk 2077," expectation is high for the game -- considering that "The Witcher 3" was a big hit game of CD Projekt Red. Moreover, the cross-platform multiplayer support is ambitious, but it could possibly mean that PS4 and Xbox One player could collaborate on the game. Who knows?
