‘Pokemon Sun & Moon’ News & Updates: See The Inside Of A Pokeball; Watch New Emotional Fan-Made Video

Junichi Masuda, producer of "Pokemon Sun and Moon," recently provided an interesting theory about Pokeballs. In the past, "Pokemon Sun and Moon" fans have been wondering what the inside of a Pokeball is like. Masuda finally put the matter to rest.

Kotaku reported that some "Pokemon Sun and Moon" fan concepts of the Pokeball, which come in different varieties, include being an empty prison, a paradise or a mysterious dimension. Some believe that Pokemon generally shrink or turn into pure energy, which explain how they can conveniently fit into the small ball. Others mentioned that the Pokeball actually contains a bigger environment where Pokemon can play and run free.

According to Masuda, the inside of a Pokeball is a very comfortable environment, most likely the equivalent of a high-end suite room in a fancy hotel. Some concept artists immediately came up with illustrations of Pokemon relaxing in a spa inside a Pokeball. Although the "Pokemon Sun and Moon" producer did not provide the specifics, fans now know that every creature is safe and happy inside their pocket containers.

Polygon stated that an unofficial "Pokemon Sun and Moon" trailer also surfaced recently. The fan-made video was a real tearjerker with its nostalgic feel. Video director John Wikstrom wrote that they came up with the footage out of their love for the Pokemon franchise and urged "Pokemon Sun and Moon" fans to support the official releases.

The "Pokemon Sun and Moon" trailer initially showed a young boy playing Pokemon with his Game Boy Color, as well as Pokemon trading cards. In the next scene, the boy is already grown up and dealing with adult life, without Pokemon. He eventually encounters a "Pokemon Sun and Moon" ad at a game store, which brought a smile to his face. The ending line stated, "You evolved."

Nintendo may follow the same marketing approach for "Pokemon Sun and Moon" to appeal to both new and old players. The Pokemon franchise has been around for two decades. But "Pokemon Sun and Moon" are expected to provide the same fun and challenge that 90's kids had, the very same ones who also used to wonder what the inside of a Pokeball might look like. "Pokemon Sun and Moon" will launch on Nov. 18, 2016 for Nintendo 2DS and Nintendo 3DS.
