A lot of games are getting patches in order to support the upcoming PlayStation 4 Pro's 4K video capabilities. If not that, then games are going to try to come with native 4K resolutions. One game that won't naturally be coming in 4K is EA's "Titanfall 2."
EA producer Drew McCoy said that "Titanfall 2" just won't be showing up in native 4K due to the sheer amount of processing power it takes to render in the highest resolution. McCoy reckons that it will take a while before any top games would be playing in 4K; what they're doing now is merely upscaling all the graphics to render in 4K. One can compare this to the Xbox One Scorpio, whose games will all be running in native 4K.
McCoy basically describes the PlayStation 4 Pro as a faster, more powerful PS4, and they're making sure the game just looks good on the PS4 Pro. The "Titanfall 2" update that will provide support for the PS4 Pro will be on the game CD when it releases on October 28 next week. You can get the game knowing that it will be optimized for the new console.
Meanwhile, developers are already gearing up to provide PlayStation 4 Pro support for many games on PS4. Games getting a PS4 Pro update, according to this list by GameSpot, include "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided," "Elder Scrolls Online," "Fallout 4," "NBA 2K17," and "Killing Floor 2." Titles that aren't getting a PS4 Pro patch as of this time are "Destiny" and "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." There are other PS4 Pro games that have unconfirmed details at this moment, such as "Battlefield 1" and "Final Fantasy 15."
The PlayStation 4 Pro is, as mentioned, releasing on November 10. Sony is designing it to not replace your original PlayStation 4; in fact, they might bundle it together. The console has a replaceable 1 TB hard drive and will be retailing for $400.
