Most of the game, if not all, has to end which will leave the conclusion to players if the game is worth their time. Unfortunately, "Metal Gear Solid V" left avid players disappointed that the finale episode of the game has been deleted with a lame excuse.
"Metal Gear Solid V" Episode 51 is supposedly the climax part of the game with a battle between Metal Gear Sahelanthropus and Eli but was deleted due to budget and time constraints. AV Club reported, the final confrontation of Eli, the boy warlord cloned from the Big Boss, and Venom Snake is said to be the entire game should lead to.
According to AV Club, "Metal Gear V: The Phantom Pain" is divided into two chapters which have two endings. The first chapter of the game will end after Venum Snake and his Diamond Dogs took revenge to Skull Face. The second chapter ends after Snake noticed that he's losing everything. He had to kill some of his soldiers due to parasites that perched on them, causing him to question his purpose even his identity.
In addition, the lost finale episode of "Metal Gear V" could have changed on how the story unfolds. The cut episode is straightforward and will connect to its existing plot. Moreover, the deleted episode will give a clear sight on how Eli will deny and accepts his faith as the successor of his father's villainous role in the game.
However, other players have different views with the said missing finale episode of the "Metal Gear V." In N4G.com, a gamer named Edmix said that the Episode 51 could be just an assumption and he believes that the loose end did not much affect the story. Another enthusiast Lightning Mr. Bubbles said that he is not sure whether he already finished the game since there is an unclear part and he just kept doing the side missions.
Since "Metal Gear V" has no story which builds to a thematic point, the game will be hollowed and there will be no twist to where each character is coming from. "You don't get the last word, Father," Eli says. "I'll break the curse of my heritage," he added.
Eli would be left behind with a gun and one bullet and eventually turns to another villain, named Liquid Snake. "Metal Gear V: The Definitive Experience" is already out and can be played via Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with a retail price of $49.99/€39.99/£34.99.
