The Motorola X phone is back in the conversation and this time there's more info about the highly anticipated device.
While there were already rumors making the rounds on the web saying the phone would be sold with the option of limited customizable hardware, new information is trickling in about the phone from the same source that revele earlier, correct, details.
As far as device customization is concerned, the source states the options will not be as extensive as originally thought, although there is a chance that the X phone could still include major things like the design of the handset.
Moreover, as the unnamed source reveals to Android and Me, this could involve materials ranging from plastic and metal to costly and exotic material like carbon fiber for the phone’s exterior, alongside a wide assortment of color options.
“Customers will mostly be able to customize the design of the phone, along with internal storage and some personalized software settings,” the report adds. “Users will be able to order their device in an endless choice of color combinations, and they can select the material of the outer casing. Choices for materials will include plastic, metal, and carbon fiber.”
The phone’s hardware, on the other hand, may feature a Motorola logo on the back of the device that acts as touch sensitive button that allows the user to launch commands.
Specification wise, the Motorola X could be similar to devices like the HTC One, although not completely. However, the device won’t be a threat to the Galaxy S4 or the next iPhone.
It was also revealed that Motorola will be releasing a Nexus phone at the end of the year.
