Popular comedy sketch show "Saturday Night Live" capped off the end of the presidential debate season with a spoof of the third and last debate between US presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Once again, Kate McKinnon and Alec Baldwin nailed their parody impersonations of Clinton and Trump, respectively, as SNL host Tom Hanks played the role of debate moderator Chris Wallace
As expected, the "Saturday Night Live" sketch of the third presidential debate left everyone in stitches--and without having to do much, apparently. The writers down at SNL didn't have to change much of the material for the debate to accentuate the ridiculousness of the third presidential debate to make it comedic. This was demonstrated spectacularly by Donald Trump, i.e. Alec Baldwin, who kickstarted the SNL debate by dropping comments about "ripping babies out of v------."
Donald Trump's comments
The "Saturday Night Live" sketch on the third presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton had pretty much written itself. Alec Baldwin had tapped into a rich vein of material from Donald Trump's outrageous comments during the third presidential debate, such as calling Mexicans "bad hombres" and the infamous word salad that was his answer to a question about Aleppo. One of the highlights of the "Saturday Night Live" debate, PopSugar noted, was when Donald Trump (Alec Baldwin) said no one had more respect for women than him, while the camera quickly cut to an audience, then an auditorium, and then the whole planet laughing hysterically at his comment.
Hillary Clinton impersonation
Kate McKinnon, on the other hand, had been more laid-back as Hillary Clinton during this third "Saturday Night Live" debate than the first two, where she as Clinton still made an effort to discuss her platform. This time, however, the running theme of the SNL debate was letting Donald Trump (Alec Baldwin) tank his own campaign as Clinton (McKinnon) watched giddily on.
The real Donald Trump, however, was silent on Twitter about the whole "Saturday Night Live" debate, in stark contrast with his scathing rebuke of the popular sketch show during the previous two spoofs. However, Alec Baldwin made a jab at his older brother Stephen as being a supporter of Donald after the former's comments saying Alec's impersonations weren't impressive enough.
