It looks like the surfacing web series of "The Walking Dead" spinoff has a connection with the coming "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 3. Fans are now waiting if anyone from the 16-part web series, called "Passage," will end up appearing in the next installment.
"The second season of webisodes follows a fearsome survivor, Sierra (Kelsey Scott), who agrees to help an injured woman, Gabi (Mishel Prada), in exchange for an apocalyptic sanctuary," the "Passage" synopsis reads, per Screen Rush. The 16 webisodes will be revealed one by one every week on AMC's website, mobile app and on air every time "The Walking Dead" will reveal new episodes.
Fans will have to wait and see if the web series will give a hint of the coming "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 3. "Over the course of their harrowing journey, the women go on to face many dangers and learn what they need to survive," the synopsis continues. Showing some familiar events, many are now wondering who from Sierra and Gabi will be seen in "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 3.
To recall, the last year's web series titled "Flight 462" gave links to the show's previous season. Meanwhile, it was recently reported that showrunner Dave Erickson teased that "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 3 will have a new setting and storyline.
In an interview with Den of Geek, the executive producer will try his best to employ new ideas that he had learned from filming the show's previous two seasons. Dave Erickson also promised that he will give "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 3 characters' a deeper meaning by exploring their own life stories and relationships.
"I think the more we do with that the more jeopardy we are going to feel, the more danger we are going to feel as we put them through all these apocalyptic scenarios," he said. "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 3 is expected to be released in 2017.
