BioWare Montreal Studio Director Yanick Roy says the upcoming “Mass Effect” game -- “Mass Effect 4”-- will be powered by the next generation Frostbite 3 engine, which will also be in the upcoming “Battlefield 4.”
Roy Tweeted: “This BF4 gameplay video is spectacular, and a great way to see what the engine of the next Mass Effect is capable of!”
Only a few months ago, Roy wrote, “There is really not much I can tell you about the game right now, except that it will be built with the amazing technology of Frostbite as its foundation, enhanced by many of the systems that the Dragon Age III team has already spent a lot of time building.” Little did we know that he was talking about Frostbite 3.
