'Shadow Warrior 2' News and Updates: New Missions, Modes and Weapons

A sword, new missions, and additional game modes are some of the things that will be coming to "Shadow Warrior 2" after the game's release last October 16, 2016. The upcoming content will be free, hyping fans of the things to come on the already massive multiplayer game. However, the developers and producers Devolver Digital and Flying Wild Hog weren't too specific on the breakdown of the things to come.

A date is not yet attached on the update of "Shadow Warrior 2", though, some of the aspects have been revealed. For the most part, the highlight of the free update will be the Nobitsura Kage, a famous katana that was used in the original game. On the vague side, new missions, weapons, co-op ninja characters and items will be coming with it, along with an ultra-hard challenge mode, according to PCGamer.

"Shadow Warrior 2" has reportedly had some issues including bugs that are related to the rendering performance. Steam immediately released a patch on Oct. 22 fixing the issues, mainly the geometry flickering problem that was the majority of the reports. With this out of the way, the developers might concentrate more on the free update and further news about it may be on its way.

Nevertheless, gamers still have a lot to play with "Shadow Warrior 2" especially that the released patch also came with it new mechanics and game changes. Some skills have been changed as well as the drop system to even out the game, and crafting has been improved. The biggest features is the addition of the more challenging tiers.

This is the third patch that has come for the PC ever since the release of "Shadow Warrior 2". With the game having an original version and a reboot that was made in 2013, developers of the 2016 version game are highly pressured to create huge differences and improvements for it.
