In the latest development about "Friday the 13th" release date, Gun Media and IllFonic said, the decision to delay the game has not been easy on their part. According to reports, the developer is contemplating on including some of the most requested features from fans; hence the moving of "Friday the 13th: The Game" release date. In a statement from the developer, featured on The Polygon, they revealed that, two of the most requested features include the Single Player Mode and the inclusion of Tommy Jarvis character.
"Friday the 13th: The Game" will be a bigger project according to Gun Media. While they are working on securing the funds for its additional development, once it launches in 2017, players are in for a better, bigger game. Part of their statement said "After securing funding, we're here to tell you that it is a reality and we're making this game even bigger. It sucks that there's a delay, but the wait won't be too long and it's going to offer more for fans in the long-run!"
"Friday the 13th" was started through the initiative of crowdfunding by Kickstarter. Despite reaching its $700,000 target, the game fell short from its asking budget of $1.625 million to include the Single Player Mode. Now, it looks like Gun Media and IllFonic have found a way to include the feature now.
