What looks like a potential trailer for the next "Modern Warfare" title, or the work of a really dedicated fan, is making the rounds online. It opens with a satellite feed locating longtime "Warfare" hero, Captain John Price. Upon finding him somewhere in Mexico, his status is listed as deceased, and his data is deleted. See for yourself below.
It looks legitimate enough, but the choice in music is a bit odd. Anyone who's watched enough daytime TV will recognize the music that kicks in at the :23 mark as the "Army Strong" theme. Sure, it's a recognizable theme as any for the armed forces, but why use an American song when John Price is a British operative?
Furthermore, the idea that he's deceased let's credibility to the "Call of Duty: Ghost" rumors floating around, in that he is indeed dead, or just went under cover. Activision has yet to confirm or deny the legitimacy of the trailer, but with GDC going on this week, we hope to hear something soon besides rumors.
