Daniel Bryan may have been eased out of active wrestling but the former WWE champion seems to have embraced his fate moving forward. However, accepting the fact that he cannot wrestle anymore was hard on him and his fight against depression was recently revealed by his better half, Brie Bella.
Bryan’s bout with depression was spilled on the third episode of Total Bellas, detailing how the “Yes Man” struggled to accept his fate. For someone filled with competitive spirit and performing for the fans, it was a bitter pill to take caused by head injuries, Fox Sports reported.
Obviously, at his prime, there is no doubt that Bryan could still do battle among the elite stars of the WWE roster if only his health allowed him to. With not much of a choice, he has been relegated to general manager which is the closest he may get to the WWE ring.
The segment shown on “Total Bellas” was shot during the time that Bryan was still hoping for the best. They were dark times and Brie Bella was witness to everything. The scenes from that show were crushing, a side of Bryan that no one would certainly want to see. Apparently, all that was far from the Daniel Bryan we are seeing now, someone who has gotten over the hump and accepting his new role alongside commissioner Shane McMahon.
Though he may not be in the scenario he wants, Bryan’s decision turned out to be for the greater good. Citing his family as the reason for retiring, he and Brie are expecting their first child. Daniel and Brie are expecting a girl, the gender revelation which was recently reported on WWE.com.
As expected, both are pretty excited to become new parents soon. Bryan may have gone through some dark moments but at least the choice is justified as he ventures into a whole new world of patenting with Brie.
