Mark Hamill, who played the iconic Luke Skywalker in the "Star Wars" franchise, was recently spotted on the set of "The Flash" Season 3. The actor was in full makeup and costume and looked very much like the big baddie The Joker.
Mail Online stated that several photos of the 65-year-old Hamill as the maniacal clown surfaced online as shooting of "The Flash" Season 3 commenced in Vancouver, Canada. The veteran actor's hair was dyed deep purple, his face was white with foundation and his lips and eyes were darkened with makeup. Hamill was wearing a double-breasted pinstripe suit, an orange tie and a fur coat. In one action scene on "The Flash" Season 3, Hamill was laughing while holding a machinegun. Other images showed him tied with electrical wire and being hauled by the police.
ScreenRant reported that Hamill will actually be appearing as Trickster in "The Flash" Season 3, a recurring villain without any supernatural powers. In the past two seasons of "The Flash," Hamill appeared as the villain in one episode. His reappearance in "The Flash" Season 3 will be the third time and it will most likely be for one episode only. Hamill was also shown together with Jay Garrick (John Wesley Shipp).
When the images of Hamill in costume in "The Flash" Season 3" first surfaced, some fans believed that he was portraying Joker Earth-3, since the actor has voiced the character for a long time. However, he will most likely be playing Trickster Earth-3 in the upcoming episode. In "The Flash" during the 1990s, Hamill also played The Trickster, facing off against Barry Allen, who was played by Shipp then. It will be interesting to see how the two characters interact once again, although Shipp already has a new role.
The story will also explain why "The Flash" Season 3 will moving to that point. Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will most likely be dealing with Trickster, although it is highly possible that The Flash will prevail, based on the leaked photos. "The Flash" Season 3 airs on Tuesdays on The CW. More updates and details are expected soon.
