"Top Chef" Season 14 will feature both old and new chefs. There will be eight veteran chefs who will be coming back in "Top Chef," who will compete with eight new ones in the new season.
Bravo revealed the names of the eight returning chefs in "Top Chef" Season 14. The lineup includes Sam Talbot (Season 2) from Brooklyn, New York, Casey Thompson (Season 3 and Season 8) from Napa Valley, California, and Amanda Baumgarten (Season 7) from Chicago. Three contests from Season 10 will also return, namely Brooke Williamson from Seattle, Sheldon Simeon from Lahaina, Hawaii and John Tesar from Dallas. Shirley Chung (Season 11) from Orange County, California, and Katsuji Tanabe (Season 12) from Los Angeles are also coming back for another round.
The rookie chefs on "Top Chef" Season 14 were also revealed. Included in the list are Annie Pettry from Louisville, Kentucky, Emily Hahn from Charleston, South Carolina, BJ Smith from Portland, Oregon, and Gerald Sombright from Marco Island, Florida. The four other new "Top Chef" contestants are Jamie Lynch from Charlotte, North Carolina, Jim Smith from Montgomery, Alabama, Silvia Barban from Brooklyn, New York, and Sylva Senat from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Entertainment Weekly stated that Graham Elliot from "Top Chef Masters" will be with Padma Lakshmi, Gail Simmons and Tom Colicchio as judges in the new season of the show. "Top Chef" Season 14 will happen in Charleston, South Carolina, which will feature culinary masterpieces and intense competition between the old and new. There will several interesting challenges, kitchen chaos and incredibly good food as the show progresses. In the new "Top Chef" Season 14 video, Padma was spotted saying that one meal was the best she has ever had on the show.
"Top Chef" Season 14 has a grand prize of $125,000 for the overall winner, provided by S.Pellegrino Sparkling Natural Mineral Water. The top chef of the season will also have a feature in "FOOD & WINE" magazine and a showcase at the annual "FOOD & WINE" Classic in Aspen. "Top Chef" Season 14 is set to premiere on Dec. 1, 2016 on Bravo. More updates and details are expected soon.
