The in-game world of "The Sims 4" is about to become more exciting with the upcoming release of the "City Living" expansion pack. Electronic Arts has recently unveiled more details about one of the game's new events namely the GeekCon Festival.
"The Sims 4 City Living" expansion pack has a myriad of exciting new gameplay features and in-game events that would fit the interests of various Sim characters. Players will soon have the chance to send their Sims to different festivals in various neighborhoods of the game's new world San Myshuno.
The GeekCon Festival, one of the five new street events in the upcoming "City Living" expansion pack, is the perfect event for nerdy Sims. Similar to E3 annual conventions, the said event caters to Sims who love science, video games and cosplaying, according to a press statement posted on "The Sims" official website.
Gamers can have their Sims participate in various video game challenges, as well as a "Hackathon" competition for programmer Sims. Game characters can also gain an "Among Geniuses" buff by attending the GeekCon. The genius-related emotion buff will help Sims gain faster increases to level up their geek skills.
Apart from the competitions, the said "City Living" festival will also serve as a venue for game characters to show off their unique fashion sense. Gamers can choose to dress their Sims in crazy attires from the classic bear costumes to racoons get-ups and other interesting fashion ensembles.
The various stalls located in the Fashion District's GeekCon event will also provide players the chance to have their Sims try a new dish. Souvenir shops also sell interesting items such as posters, snow globes and specialized shirts.
In other news, an upcoming livestream event will uncover more details about "The Sims 4 City Living" expansion pack. Scheduled on Oct. 21, Friday, at 12:00 p.m. Pacific, the livestream is said to reveal interesting information about the game's new festivals, according to the fansite Sims Community.
