The four person co-op sci-fi shooter game "Fuse" is launching in North America May 28 followed by a European release on May 31, EA And Insomniac Games say. The first multiplatform title from Insomniac Games, "Fuse," will be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 but not on PC. The game was originally set to release in March.
Insomniac Games, most famous for the "Ratchet & Clank" and "Resistance" franchises, promises a similar action-packed gaming experience as seen in its earlier franchises.
Fuse features four elite covert agents: Dalton Brooks, Izzy Sinclair, Jacob Kimble and Naya Deveraux. Each gets their own Xenotech weapon and a set of unique skills. Their mission is to protect mankind from a deadly alien energy source known as Fuse. However, if you choose to play the game solo, you have the option of shifting between characters to take advantage of each member's capabilities.
"Insomniac Games is known for delivering best-in-class weaponry that breaks the mold of traditional video games - and Fuse is no different," Ted Price, CEO and founder of Insomniac Games, says in a release. "These Xenotech weapons further the innovation players will find in this unique, action co-op shooter. We can't wait to bring Fuse, our first multi-platform game, to gamers worldwide this May."
Players who pre-order the game will receive exclusive bonuses such as special armor and weapon skins for each of the four elite agents. The pre-order bonuses include four hyperion prototype agent armor skins, four hyperion prototype weapon skins and Quickdraw team perk.
"Each covert agent is equipped with unique skills and weapons that are not only necessary for survival, but also help create unexpected and extraordinary results. Xenotech weapons are powered by a volatile alien substance that gives players unique capabilities that expand their strategic options in and out of combat. Through lethal teamwork, players can complete objectives and kills to earn Fuse points for powerful upgrades," the press note explains the game.
