True to their word, Gearbox, developer of the "Borderlands" franchise, finally revelaed the identity of the man in the shadows, the newest DLC character coming to "Borderlands 2." Take a look at this beefed up brute in the trailer below.
Not much is known yet about Krieg the Psycho Bandit (has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?), other than he's managed to escape from a lab somewhere underneath Pandora, and it looks like he has a bone to pick Handsome Jack.
If the trailer and the Bane-like body type is any indication, Krieg will be a brawler, and with that gas mask covering his food hole, he's the epitome of Teddy Roosevelt's addage of "speak softly and carry a big stick. With sticks of dynamite tied to it." History books tend to remove that last part of the quote.
Kotaku has a couple of images from Krieg's three skill trees, Hellborn, Bloodlust, and Mania. Hellborn deals fire damage, Bloodlust enhances explosive skills, and Mania sends Krieg on a rampage with his Buzz Axe sidearm. The con? It turns on friendly fire. Ah well, the greater risk, the greater the reward.
Gearbox has Krieg planned to join the rest of the Vault Hunters some time in May for $10.
