"Sons of Anarchy" is FX's highest rated series ever which started in 2008 and ended in 2014 on its seventh season. Even two years after its last episode aired, interest in the show remains strong showing how loyal its fan base is. FX has to oblige, a "Sons of Anarchy" spinoff has to be made.

There are those who doubt if Charlie Hunnam might still be a member of the upcoming "Sons of Anarchy" spinoff series. As previously reported by GamenGuide, the prequel will focus on the Mayan Motorcycle Club a rival club of SAMCRO in the original series.
The events of the upcoming "Sons of Anarchy" prequel spinoff happen before Jax Teller, Charlie Hunnam's character, is born. It is said to focus on Jack's father instead, as such, many believe that recasting Hunnam could be tricky, if they had to follow the storyline to the letter.

Lately however, reports are saying that Charlie Hunnam might appear in the "Sons of Anarchy" spinoff series. Apparently, an Instagram post made by show creator Kurt Sutter shows Charlie Hunnam and Emilio Rivera which is captioned "My favorite kind of family. Dysfunctional. #MayansMC #SOA," which kept fans abuzz with speculations.
Is it possible that Charlie Hunnam might be a member of the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel spinoff cast? That seems to be the case, of at least, that is what most fans would prefer to believe at the moment. And it's not such a bad move for the network either as Hunnam's stellar power would surely work its magic and ensure that the original series' die hard fans continue to watch the spinoff.
But aside from a cameo appearance, would it not be better to cast Charlie Hunnam as Jax's dad? Perhaps it won't be too much of a problem to fans after all, as the similarity could just be explained as being blood relations - they are father and son after all.
