The Google Pixel and Pixel XL are scheduled to launch today and the alleged iPhone killer is seemingly confident, reaching the stands. Interestingly, not much in the negative side has been said about the Pixel and Pixel XL. In fact, one review about the Android phone suggests, they are inch away from buying the device.
So what's stopping them? Curiosity made us read through the review and there it goes, the Google Pixel and Pixel XL are not waterproof? Are you willing buy a device that is not waterproof? Unfortunately, the waterproof feature became the trend when nothing else seem to catch the attention of the masses. With similar specs, software and operating system; hackable third party apps and more, it seemed the best way to really get the consumer's attention is to say, "we are waterproof!"
A Yahoo review subtly praised the Pixel and Pixel XL. Relatively comparing it to giant brands like Samsung and Apple, the device still lacks elegance to compete in terms of physical characteristics. Somehow, we all know that Google is all about integrating the useful apps to the device. Those features can be tested in a few days when the Pixel and Pixel XL has settled in.
The brushed aluminum body of the Google Pixel and Pixel XL makes them a bit slippery, but so does the previous version of iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. Unless you can figure out how to elegantly add a rubber somewhere in the device, it needs the proper casing to make the grip.
Currently, the Google Pixel and Pixel XL are offered in three color variants mainly, Quite Black, Very Silver and Really Blue. The blue version of the devices sold out quickly, giving the idea that, after all, the Pixel and Pixel XL have something very unique that the rest of the brands didn't have.
