Finally, the "Civilization 6" release date is at hand. For players eager to download and play the strategy franchise's latest installment, Firaxis announced the exact times for the game's launch.
For ease, Firaxis divided the world into three regions or zones, each with its own specific launch time. When "Civilization 6" release date arrives tomorrow, Zone 1 participants may start playing the game at 3 a.m. at AEDT on October 21, 2016.
The zone 1 group is comprised of New Zealand, Australia (all of Oceania), Japan, Taiwan, China, India, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia (most of Southeast Asia) and South Korean. This is based on the on the color coded global map displayed on the "Civilization 6" page on steam. The exception in Asia is North Korea and probably Burma which have been blackened on the map.
When the "Civilization 6" release date finally arrives, the game unlocks at 12 a.m. BST this coming October 21 for Zone 2 gamers. Zone 2 includes Russia and the whole of Europe including Greenland, most of Africa and most of the Middle East. Again, based on the Steam page, there are darkened spots in Africa and the Middle East (probably Syria, Iran and Sudan) which probably means the game will not be releasing in these spots.
The rest of the world, Zone 3, gets the "Civilization 6" game by 12 a.m ET on October 21, 2016. Specifically, these include the United States, Canada, Mexico and all of South America. The only exception in the American continent seem to be the darkened island in the Caribbean, probably corresponding to Cuba.
As for the pricing, there are deals that players can take advantage of. For instance, "Civilization 6" standard edition is now sold for $47.99 on Steam while the Deluxe is priced at $63.99 reports Game Rant. In addition, the Deluxe as well as the 25th Anniversary Edition come with an early access to the Aztec Civilization pack. The pack includes the "Civilization 6" leader Montezuma, its unique unit Eagle Warrior, Aztec unique building Tlachtli and Huey Teocalli as its unique wonder.
