Last night, Marvel surprised fans with a sneak peek into the highly anticipated "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," which arrives in 2017. The sneak peek was released to mostly positive reviews, with fans wanting to know more. Here are 5 things we need to see in the sequel based on the sneak peek.
In the new "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," we see BFFs Peter Quill A.K.A. Star-Lord and Drax (Dave Bautista) having a conversation about Quill's love life. Apparently, there's a trouble in galactic paradise, as Drax suggests that Quill finds himself a "pathetic" woman instead of pining for Gamora.
Speaking of Gamora, how gorgeous does Zoe Saldana look as the green alien assassin? Director James Gunn, the ever so social savvy man behind the script of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" promises to delve more into Gamora's relationship with Nebula ("Doctor Who" Karen Gillan). As per Digital Spy, the director promised that the women in the film will get as much screen time as the men. That's something we really need to see in the sequel.
The "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" sneak peek also gave a glimpse of Nebula, who was seemingly kidnapped by Team Star-Lord. How does this play into her turning against Thanos and joining the Guardians? That's definitely something we need to see in the sequel.
When "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" arrives during the summer of 2017, fans are looking forward to seeing Kurt Russell as Peter Quill's absentee biological father. It's definitely something we need to see in the sequel and has been promised by Gunn as well.
Lastly, the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" won't be complete without everyone's favorite: Groot. The Vin Diesel-voiced character is returning in the form of Baby Groot, who made his debut alongside his trusty partner in crime, Rocket (Bradley Cooper). "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is making its big screen debut on May 5, 2017.
