Consumerist has heard the trumpets blasted by the fans disappointed by "SimCity's" always online requirements, "Dead Space 3's" micro-transactions, and the ever incessant interruptions from "Real Racer 3," and God only knows what else has gotten under gamers' skin courtesy of EA.
The developer is returning to defend its title in Consumerist's 2013 list of "Worst Companies in America."
As Consumerist notes, "No Golden Poo winner has ever repeated, but considering the timing of EA's most recent stumbles, we can only assume the company really wants a second trophy to match the one it's already received. But in order to do so, it will need to get through some formidable competition, like Bank of America, which has taken home the Silver Poo as runner-up for the last two years, and which inherited Countrywide Financial's earlier win."
Alongisde EA, Consumerist's annual list of scumbag companies include Comcast, Ticketmaster, AT&T, PayPal, and a host of others. EA hasn't gone to bat just yet, but keep your eyes on Consumerist to cast your vote for them if they've irritated you lately.
