WWE has done what no one thought would happen after 12 years to bring Bill Goldberg back to the ring. After being out of action for more than two decades, Bill Goldberg announced last week that he will indeed return to RAW and address the universe of his heavy emotions, and more importantly, the challenge.
As some may have seen in previous reports, Paul Heyman forwarded an issued challenge by his client Brock Lesnar towards the seasoned WCW veteran Bill Goldberg after being confirmed as part of the "WWE 2K17" game as a pre-order bonus. Goldberg did not hold back on his statements about being in the ring again during the latest Monday Night RAW episode.
Some reports stated that Bill Goldberg could barely contain his emotions as he finally stepped foot in a WWE ring once more. Cutting to the chase, Goldberg said that one of his goals include being a superhero to children all over the world, which apparently took the attention of a higher power in the company. Goldberg answered Brock Lesnar's challenge immediately, ending his statement with two resounding words, "You're Last."
As great of a moment it was for WWE fans all over the globe, speculations have continued to intrigue fans all throughout, eager to see the rematch that took twelve years in the making. There are those that recall how the first encounter of these two powerhouses went; ending with the fans booing in dismay.
That being said, the move that WWE might make for this match may resuscitate the flaw which could have been the match of the century back then, expected to take place at this year's "Survivor Series." The return of Bill Goldberg to the WWE sparked the light on so many fans that were slipping off the company's hands. For now, those who tail Monday Night RAW will have to wait and see where this rivalry heads to.
