Since Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte flew back home from Abu Dhabi in the end of "Sex and the City 2," there have been no news as to what is next for them. Ever since that time, fans have been wondering what adventures are up for the quartet and if a third "Sex and the City" movie is coming anytime soon.
Vanity Fair reports that through the years, there have been dozens of rumors and innuendos that have surrounded the third installment that has been eagerly awaited for by millions of fans worldwide. Some have gone as far as observing every hint by every cast member in every interview or other media appearances, but all these amounted to more uncertainty.
Fortunately, some clues have been recently given out that could mean the possibility of a third "Sex in the City" movie could come out in theatres sooner or later. Recently, while Sarah Jessica Parker was promoting her new show on HBO "Divorce" on "Sunday Morning," she was asked about when another "Sex in the City" movie would be coming out.
To this, she replied that "the idea, it rests on the butler's pantry, not on the table, but somebody is holding it fairly nearby." The mention of "fairly nearby" by no other than "Sex and the City" lead star Sarah Jessica Parker could not mean nothing and this is a big relief for those anticipating it.
According to The Independent reports although the original series was a bold and modern look at womanhood, its movie version managed to turn its charms into a glorification of excess privilege which apparently got worse in its sequel. A lot of fans, however, found this very appealing and would be please to know that Sarah Jessica Parker herself teased that the whole cast including her, would be returning to their career launching roles in the near future.
Parker adds that she does not think that any of them would say no to "Sex and the City 3" and that she is not yet sure if what is to come is a series or a movie. Whatever the final output it remains an open question and such discussion should go on until it will be resolved with finality.
