‘Syberia 3’ Release Date, News & Update: Third Saga Delayed to 2017; Microid to Add More Content! More Game Details Revealed!

"Syberia 3" is already geared for a 2016 release but developer Microïds decided to push back the release several months later. The action adventure game is now scheduled to release in the first quarter of 2017, Microïds confirmed in a statement. The decision to postpone the game was made to make sure it is polished before launching. The developer also added more narrative sequences, cinematics, and voice-over for the game.

Fans were already excited about "Syberia 3'" release only to be disappointed with the news about its delay. However, Microïds Vice President Elliot Grassiano acknowledges how it would not please fans but assures that the decision is for an improved gaming experience.

"After the unprecedented excitement we have seen for this game...we decided to bring even more depth to Kate Walker's new adventure," Grassiano said in his statement of the upcoming "Syberia 3" game. "We are aware that fans around the world are eager to embody Kate Walker again but we need additional time to provide them with an adventure that can live up to their expectations in this fascinating universe created by Benoit Sokal," he continued.

Sokal, on the other hand, expressed that he was disappointed by the game's delay, but at the same time, is grateful that Microïds made such decision to make the game more interesting for all fans. Fans of the title showed their support by implying that "Syberia 3" is the kind of game that shouldn't be rushed.

As mentioned, "Syberia 3" will continue the story of protagonist Kate Walker. This time, Kate finds herself on a makeshift boat after getting off the island. Youkol people came to rescue her and both will work together to flee from their enemies. Kate will help the tribe fulfill an ancestral tradition.

So far, Microïds hasn't given an exact release date for "Syberia 3" but fans should expect it within Q1 2017. Players can still play the third game on the same platforms - PC, Xbox One and PS4.
